Your day trip to Mt. Rigi starts with a bus ride crossing the Albis Pass and along the shores of beautiful Lake of the Four Cantons to Weggis, where you board the aerial cable car to Rigi Kaltbad. It is here where you then board Europe's first-ever mountain railway to the top of Rigi. You will be overwhelmed by the incredible panoramic view over the Swiss-Midland, the Alps, and the 13 lakes around you. Hike to the top in summer, rent a sled (optional) in winter, or just enjoy the beauty of this unique scenery. Descent by cog-wheel train to Vitznau followed by a lovely boat ride to Lucerne (approximately 1 hour in duration). You then have free time to stroll through the charming Old Town before the journey back to Zurich.

Participant restrictions:
The aerial cable car is out of service from May 2–11 and from Nov. 8–12, 2010. Participants will travel up and down Mt. Rigi by cogwheel train on these dates.

Check-in time for this tour is at 9:15 AM. Tour guide gratuity is not included and is at your discretion. Commentary is available in English and German; Spanish is available on request. Children age 5 and younger may participate in this activity at no charge. Please specify the number of participating children younger than age 6. As required by Swiss law, all children age 3 and older must occupy their own seat.
