At a height of 871m, Uetliberg is a popular outing destination for Zurich’s residents. A steep path leads to a terrace near the Hotel Uto Kulm. 167 steps lead to the top of the viewing tower, from where the vast view encompasses Zurich, the Limmat Valley, Lake Zurich and the Alps, and Jura and the Vosges to the west and northwest. Follow the ridge to Felsenegg (804m). A planetary path (Planetenweg) recreates the solar system on a scale of one to a billion.
