This lateral valley is readily accessible from the French-speaking Valais. In a fine high-mountain landscape dominated by the dent Blanche (4 357m), the region retains strong traditions: haymaking remains a family affair. In winter the valley offers 100km of ski runs, two cross-country skiing courses (33km) and two natural ice rinks.
