This museum contains a representative selection of 700,000 objects found on the Augst site. The silverware, probably buried in 352-353 during the invasion of the Germans, is one of the most interesting: discovered in 1962 near to the walls of the castrum of Kaiseraugst (early 4C), it includes 68 pieces of an extravagant dinner service (dishes, goblets and candle holders).
