Bibendum
This excursion is particularly of interest to those who do not have the opportunity to go further through the Jungfrau mountains. After a journey by train, you reach the upper resort where an Alpine garden containing 500 local plants has been created. The neighbouring belvedere (alt. 2,076 m) provides a fine panoramic view and there is an Alpine cheesemakers' where you can taste the delicious products.

    Pros

Fabulous cog train trip to a wonderful viewing area. Self service restaurant offers reasonably priced food or snacks. An alpine garden and a lovely round trip walk, with several alternative walks. Easy to hard options. Special price offered in 2013 at 38 CHF round trip, children free. Worth every penny. Just cannot tire of the scenery enroute to the top.

    Cons

Train seats a bit tough on the bottom. Can be very busy at peak times.
