"Wadi Rum ( The Sound of Silence) is a journey to another world, a vast silent place, timeless and starkly beautiful Wadi Rum is one of Jordan's main tourist attractions being the most stunning desert landscape in the world, laying 320 kms southwest of Amman, 120 kms south Petra and only 60 kms north of Aqaba.Captain's Desert Camp offers the genuine experience of Wadi Rum, - this camp has a unique large Bedouin tents divided into compartments for lodging. Centrally located close to the Disi area outside the reserve, only 300 meters north from the protected area. Tents are fully equipped with beds, sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, candles, etc.. Please note the camp only has electricity between 7pm - 9pm in the dining area NOT in the Bedouin tent. Showers and toilets facilities are built in a separate area of the camp. The Captain's Desert Camp provides a varied number of services such as Jeep Tours, Private event and functions, on-site cooking, Special Bedouin Meals (ZARB), camel and horse tour, hiking trips arrangements, Balloons over Wadi Rum sites, transportations from and to other locations in Jordan."
