Al-Srouje : Michelin's recommendations

The village of Al Srouje has curious sugar-loaf structures, the traditional dwelling-type of the region. The buildings comprise two or more domed rooms. The dome is of brick on the inside; its roughcast exterior comprises straw covering regularly interspersed stones. Today, these dwellings are often abandoned in favour of breeze block structures, and are used instead for livestock and storage.
