Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa, is divided between Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya. The lake extends across a little-visited region, which nonetheless offers some pleasant lakeside towns (Bukoba, Musoma) and interesting cultural sights (at Bujora and Butiama). The region also offers the chance to meet some of the local ethnic groups.
