Extending for over 8 000km², Ngorongoro Conservation Area is famous for its crater of the same name, which is home to tropical vegetation and an extraordinary range of wildlife. The site is much visited by tourists, but is nonetheless absolutely breathtaking. Also worth a visit is the archaeological site of Olduvai (fossils).
