Scented cloves and flying foxes – welcome to Pemba! This island, smaller than Zanzibar, is also greener and more off the tourist track. Visitors come here to get away from it all, to enjoy incredible snorkelling or diving, or to visit the Ngezi Forest Reserve, which is home to numerous endemic species.
