Si Satchanalai
: Michelin's recommendations
Coming from the direction of Sukhothai, you will usually approach Si Satchanalai via the village of Chaliang which lies on the banks of the River Yom. The “historical park”, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is home to a large number of archaeological ruins, including an impressive collection of white chedi, lies in a delightful setting a little further on. Continue to the potters’ village of Pa Yang. Here numerous shops sell the renowned Sangkhalok ceramics which have made this town famous around the world.
