Very popular with holidaymakers who come here for the weekend, this resort is home to most of the island’s hotels and restaurants – if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is probably not the place! However, the beach, Hat Sai Khaeo, still has a fairly wild feel about it, with its steep hills and rocky cliffs jutting into the sea. Take care if you swim here, as the waves often crash onto the rocks and the dead coral, making bathing dangerous, particularly in low season.
