The “Ancient City” is an open-air museum, rather than a theme park. Here, some of the most famous monuments in Thailand have been recreated (either life-size or a third the size of the original building) in a wooded site which corresponds to the shape of the country. Replicas of the temples of Sukhothai and Ayutthaya, a floating market, and houses can all be found at Muang Boran, which provides an excellent introduction to Thai art and culture.
