This haven of peace and greenery laid out in the late 19C on a hill in the heart of Tunis covers an area of 110ha. Hidden among the lawns, copses and trees are a zoo, the Modern Art Museum, and the Koubba, an interesting pavilion built in the 17C. The park is popular with locals and tourists who come here to escape the heat of the city and to enjoy the fine views of Tunis and its bay in the distance.
