When to go
The climate is Mediterranean in the north and on the coast, becoming semi-arid, even arid, further inland and to the south.
The best time to visit is May to mid-October, with the exception of the far south.
Sea temperature: maximum of 23°C in the height of summer.
Time difference
In winter there is a time difference of 1hr between Tunisia and the United Kingdom and Ireland and in summer (depending on the exact change to daylight saving time) there is no time difference. In winter when it is 12noon in London, it is 1pm in Tunis.
Documents
Valid passport.
If you enter the country with the equivalent of more than €800 in cash, you must fill in a form, to be shown again when you leave, specifying the amount of foreign currency you are importing.
