Kaleköy
: Michelin's recommendations
Located opposite Kekova island, visible in the distance, the hamlet of Kaleköy stands on a rocky slope crowned by the ramparts of a fortress. Built by Byzantine crusaders, it is now a sunny and quiet place to visit. At the top of the village, the solitary tombs of a Greek and Roman necropolis are scattered amongst the trees. On its quaysides, restaurants grill the freshest fish imaginable, washed down perhaps by a glass of raki. In front of you, a Lycian sarcophagus stands in the middle of the bay, gently lapped by the waves. Even today, Kaleköy’s magic still casts a spell on its visitors.
