Mustafapasa
: Michelin's recommendations
Strung out along a cliff, the large village of Mustafapasa is home to numerous beautiful stone houses with sculpted façades, built by the Greeks who lived here until 1923. A good example of the town’s past prosperity, the Church of St Constantine and St Helen dominates the village centre, and is adorned with a pediment painted with polychrome grapes. Near the square, a 14C medersa (which now houses a carpet shop) has retained its elegant sculpted doorway. Finally, make sure you have time for a cup of tea at the Old Greek House, a superb house dating from the 19C.
