The portico at the entrance to Beyazit Pasa mosque rests on six alternating red and yellow columns, while the arcades, archivolts and tympanums are adorned with red and white marble. This mosque, a beautiful Ottoman building dating from the 15C, follows the same layout as the mosques in Bursa: the prayer hall is located on two levels, each of which is crowned with a dome.
