The 10C Church with the Buckle which stands at the entrance to the open-air museum is well worth a visit. The building is divided into two churches which demonstrate the rapid evolution of religious pictorial art. The first is home to archaic mosaics which depict the story of Christ and which are moving, yet rather clumsy in style. The frescoes in the second church, built 50 years later, are much more advanced and depict the main figures of the New Testament, elegantly represented against a background of lapis lazuli.
