Izmir Bazaar Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

The bazaar in Izmir is a complex of predominantly modern, and already outdated design, in which the 18C Kizlaragasi Hani caravanserai and its neighbours stand out. The tangled maze of narrow and packed alleyways are home to countless shops and artisans’ workshops, selling practical (clothes, ironmongery etc) and more exotic items (hookah pipes, jewellery, rugs and locally made leather goods). A visit to the city’s bustling and friendly bazaar provides an insight into the daily life of Turks, who are renowned here for their great hospitality.

    Pros

Wonderful... Izmir bazaar has not only Kizlaragasi Han. Actually, Kızlaragasi is a small part of complicated bazaar. Mysticism, diversity, orientalism, modernism... a lot of thinks. You must eat some of samples from Turkish Cuisine.

    Cons

Tourist office has not enough. Both knowledge and number of offices.
