Situated south of the hill of Alaaddin park, Sirçali Medrese is also worth a visit. This 13C Seljuk Koranic school now houses the Museum of Funerary Monuments, but is more interesting for its architecture than for the Seljuk and Ottoman tombstones on display here. Behind the highly decorated portal lies an iwan that has retained some of its superb ceramics with black and turquoise motifs.
