Located about a half-hour north of Orlando, this wilderness area appears much as it did when the Timucuan Indians lived along the river banks (they left a number of shell mounds that are still visible today). The Wekiva River, accessible here, offers wonderful canoeing-in fact, the Wekiva River/Rock Springs Run was rated one of Florida's top canoe trails by Paddler magazine.
