Lee-Fendall House : Michelin's recommendations
This large clapboard house was built in 1785 by Philip Richard Fendall, a distant Lee relative who bought the half-acre lot from Light-Horse Harry Lee. Fendall successively married three different Lee women, and members of the Lee family continually lived in the house until 1904. From 1937 to 1969 it was the residence of the famous labor leader John L. Lewis. Today the house is decorated in early-19C style, with many authentic Lee pieces.
