Chase-Lloyd House
Chase-Lloyd House
: Michelin's recommendations
Built for Samuel Chase, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, this imposing three-story brick Georgian (1774, William Buckland) is best known for its breathtaking entrance hall featuring a split, cantilevered staircase and a tall Palladian window. Only the first floor and the garden are open to the public as the rest of the house has served as a home for elderly women since 1890.
