The sprawling c.1867 Wren's Nest is the Victorian home of Joel Chandler Harris (1848-1908), journalist and author of the Uncle Remus tales for children. The man who brought to life Br'er Fox and Br'er Rabbit wrote the tales in the dialect of coastal Georgia slaves. Especially popular here are the lively storytelling sessions
