Noted Philadelphia architect Frank Furness designed this mansion (1878) for Dr. Emlen Physick. An Academy of Fine Arts design, the interior features a square staircase in the Victorian foyer. Walls throughout the house are trimmed in reeded oak and covered with lincrusta, a combination of paper and linseed oil.
