This popular tourist attraction comprises a 500-acre informal garden known for its spring-blooming azaleas, and a plantation house that once formed part of the 17C estate owned by Englishman Thomas Drayton. More recent additions to the site include nature train and boat tours, and the adjoining Audubon Swamp Garden, where boardwalks traverse 60 acres of blackwater cypress and tupelo swamp.
