Despite some grumbling about its cost when it opened in 2004, Millennium Park is among the city's nicest assets. Its 24.5 acres are filled with something to see at every turn. With architectural elements designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, plus gardens, fountains and sculptures galore, it's a lovely spot to take a break from the surroundings of ultra-urban Chicago.
