Cleveland Mall : Michelin's recommendations
Inspired by the 1893 Chicago Columbian Exposition, Cleveland's leaders conceived a plan in 1903 to erect a monumental grouping of public buildings. Their work, set on a T-shaped series of grassy malls, yielded some of the city's Beaux-Arts and Renaissance Revival jewels. These include the 1912 Cuyahoga County Courthouse; the Neoclassical City Hall; the 1922 Public Auditorium, now the city's convention center; and the 1911 Federal Building.
