This unpretentious white clapboard home (1890) gives a rare glimpse into the private life of America's 33rd president, Harry S Truman (1884-1972). Beginning with a sojourn to Key West in 1946, Truman spent his "working vacations" over the next seven years of his term in office at this former naval station duplex, which he called his "Little White House." While here, he ran the country from the desk that still sits in a corner of the living room, and the house is furnished much the way it was during the Truman era.
