Dedicated to presenting international art of the post-World War II era, with an emphasis on art of the Americas, the museum stages several major shows a year in its two levels of gallery spaces and auditorium. The permanent collection, a small selection of which is displayed on a rotating basis, includes 50 works by such noted contemporary artists as Christo, Alexander Calder, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Marcel Duchamp and Rufino Tamayo. Exhibits of new work change four times a year.
