If you want a break from crowded Lowdermilk Park and Vanderbilt Beach, Delnor-Wiggins is the place to go. Punctuating the heavily developed shoreline north of Naples, this delightful park offers more than a mile of unspoiled beach backed by sea grapes, sea oats, cabbage palms and mangroves. Through Wiggins Pass, at the park's north end, the Cocohatchee River finds its outlet to the sea. Also at this end, a 30ft observation tower clears the jungle canopy to provide glimpses of the Gulf of Mexico and its backwaters.
