Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Highly Recommended Highly Recommended Highly Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

When you step inside this treasure trove of art, you'll see a wealth of furnishings, textiles, paintings and sculpture collected by a woman who truly relished beauty, creativity and life. Isabella Stewart Gardner built Fenway Court, which resembles a 15C Venetian-style palace, to showcase her magnificent art collection in an intimate setting. Opening onto flower gardens in a central courtyard, the galleries, permanently arranged by Mrs. Gardner herself, first welcomed the public in 1903. Today they contain furnishings, textiles, paintings and sculptures from her 2,500-piece core collection; highlights include works by Titian, Dante, Rembrandt and Vermeer.
