King's Chapel Burying Ground
: Michelin's recommendations
Next to King's Chapel is the King's Chapel Burying Ground, Boston's oldest cemetery, founded in 1630. This is the final resting place of John Winthrop (the Massachusetts Bay Colony's first governor), John Alden (son of Priscilla and John), and William Dawes, Paul Revere's riding mate, whom Longfellow doomed to obscurity by leaving him out of his famous poem, "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere".
