The unpretentious two-story frame dwelling looking out on the Thames was the boyhood summer home of playwright Eugene O'Neill (1888-1953). Now a Registered National Landmark, Monte Cristo Cottage was the setting for O'Neill's two most autobiographical works: Ah, Wilderness!
