Overlookig lovely Prescott Park and the broad Piscataqua River beyond, this village-museum is a pleasant assembly of tree-shaded paths, historic houses and period gardens that border an expansive green. This remnant of yesteryear traces over 300 years of American architectural styles. You visit at your own pace, stopping in where you like; interpreters in period dress are on hand to answer questions. There's an excellent restaurant on site as well.
