Making New York a kinder, gentler place for cyclists is no small feat, but it's the goal of Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of a notoriously pushy and rule-averse city. There may be more bike paths, but that hasn't made the isle of Manhattan an easier ride for two-wheeled traffic.
