Oceana's doors open to a lavish bounty of seafood on ice—a major tip-off to diners that excess is on the menu. On your way to the dining room, swim past marble-accented seating areas including a casual café and glass-enclosed private rooms (a coveted spot for business lunches). In the center of it all, a two-tier lobster tank cleverly separates the bustling 4,000-square-foot kitchen from the rest of the crowd. A dizzying array of seafood spans all menus, along with steakhouse-style sides like crisp broccolini. Raw offerings include fresh fluke tartare with a heavy dab of white miso and sweet Korean melon. Entrées play up the presentation factor and include skin-on dorade wrapped in crisp taro strips with vibrant but mild-tasting coconut-cilantro curry.

      Wide variety of oysters. Very nicely served with tasty sauce. Chocolate mousse was delicious and cappuccino was very nice as well. Compliment pumpkin soup shot.

      Cons

      The food was very greasy. Not exactly what i expected from a Michelin-star restaraunt. Scallops were also too salty, lobster over-cooked(rubbery), meat was just usual. Portions too big to enjoy. Even though there were quite a lot of waiters serving us, they seemed to be distracted. We had to move our heads in circles trying to order additional things because the waiter was running around the table while listening to us. So, i guess, the main question is, does that sound like a Michelin star?

      Ce qu'il y a dans l'assiette, irréprochable.

      Cons

      Le sommelier, qui s'est sifflé un verre de notre demi bouteille de Mercurey pour le goûter puis qui a enlevé la bouteille non vide en fin de repas. Sur notre demande, il a prétendu l'avoir renversé dans le saut à glace et nous a apporté deux verres de vin insipide pour se faire pardonner !
