This massive stone edifice, the seat of the Episcopal Diocese of New York, is reputedly the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. Strangely, though, it's only two-thirds complete, and there are currently no plans to finish it. The design incorporates a Great Rose Window (it contains 10,000 pieces of glass) overlooking the 601-foot-long nave.
