Walt Disney envisioned this property as an "experimental prototype community of tomorrow" (aka EPCOT) and a showcase of American creativity. Unveiled in 1982, the 260-acre park is divided into two areas: Future World, housing pavilions devoted to technology and ingenuity with rides, interactive display areas and films; and World Showcase, celebrating the culture and architecture of 11 nations. Each of the national pavilions is staffed by nationals of the country it represents, and live performers are often on hand. You'll see several live stage shows as well.
