The heart of the permanent collection here is rotated in four large contemporary galleries. More than 600 works of 19C and 20C American art include paintings by John Singer Sargent, George Inness, Georgia O'Keeffe, Maurice Prendergast and Gene Davis. An excellent African collection features Yoruba beadwork, Asante statuary and Benin metalwork.
