The zoo first opened in 1898. A paved trail here leads past exotic exhibits, beginning with the Asian Forest, home to snow leopards and Siberian tigers, and continuing past the African Savannah, where lions, zebras, giraffes and elephants roam. Next comes the popular Tropical Forest, populated by 90 primates, including a group of lowland gorillas. Kids Kingdom adds interactive play. In the aquarium, you can crawl through the stingray tunnel and the two-story shark tank.
