Princeton University
: Michelin's recommendations
Set amid lush, rolling countryside, Princeton University moved to its present site in 1756. The prestigious Ivy League university was founded in 1746 by a group of Presbyterian ministers as the College of New Jersey. Since then, the student body-which claims former US presidents James Madison and Woodrow Wilson as alumni-has grown to 4,500 undergraduate students. The 600-acre campus comprises over 130 buildings in a variety of styles. Visitor assistance and maps are available at the First Campus Center welcome desk.
