Museum and White House of the Confederacy Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Confederate president Jefferson Davis and his family lived in this stucco 1818 mansion during the Civil War. The ornate Victorian interior reflects the mansion's appearance during the Davis years. In the adjacent museum is an extensive collection of Confederate war artifacts, including the sword worn by Robert E. Lee at his surrender at Appomattox and E.B.D. Julio's monumental 1869 canvas The Last Meeting of Lee and Jackson (lower level).
