Hemmed in by Fourth and Fifth streets, Washington and Market streets, Rice Park (1849) holds sway as St. Paul's prettiest public space. There's a lovely fountain in the middle of the park, and the perimeter boasts attractive high-rise buildings, including the 1910 St. Paul Hotel.
