Circus artifacts from the Ringling era, Historic Asolo Theater and Mrs. Ringling's rose garden along with a treasury of European culture. The museum was designated as the official state art museum in 1946. Complemented by magnificent architecture, the Ringling concentrates on paintings of the late Renaissance and Baroque periods (1550-1750), featuring the world's largest private collection of works by Baroque master Peter Paul Rubens.
