Another creation of William Jay, the Regency-style mansion was initially built in 1818 as the home of Alexander Telfair. The expanded structure now houses a noteworthy collection of works by members of the Ash Can school—Robert Henri, George Luks and George Bellows—as well as American portraiture, and collections of early-19C furniture and silver.
