Housed in an undistinguished 1960s government office building, these reception rooms have been transformed into architectural masterpieces of 18C interior design. They are furnished with one of the most impressive collections of American decorative arts in the country. Edward Vason Jones, a Georgian architect, dedicated the last 15 years of his life to redesigning the rooms in the style of great 18C American manor houses. The ornately plastered ceilings, pilasters, paneling, entablatures and pediments complement the fine furnishings.
