Located southeast of the Lincoln Memorial, this compelling ensemble of statues, freestanding wall and circular pool honors the members of the US armed forces who served in the Korean War (1950-53). The $18 million memorial was funded by private contributions and dedicated in 1995 by President Bill Clinton and Kim Young Sam, president of the Republic of Korea.
