Koshland Science Museum : Michelin's recommendations

Located adjacent to the National Building Museum, this attraction was opened in the spring of 2004 under the auspices of the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC. The museum seeks to "explore current scientific issues at the core of many of the nation's public policy decisions" through hands-on exhibits designed to showcase science in daily life. Established with a gift from molecular biologist Daniel Koshland, the facility is named for his wife, Marian Koshland (1921-1997), also a molecular biologist, known for her work in the field of immunology.
